US-based Ikaria Design (f. 2008) produce the Soul Seat, a cross-legged chair designed for active sitting, with the first version launched in 2014.

The Soul Seat features a unique two-level design without arms or a back, allowing users to shift between various positions, aimed at reducing back and neck pain.

Founder Pack Matthews designed the chair with physical therapists and yoga instructors after being frustrated with painful conventional chairs that didn’t allow for changing positions while working at the computer.

Prices currently start around £777 ($978).
