Developed by Indian startup Jarsh, these helmets utilise patented ActivCooling technology to provide effective temperature control to officers while directing traffic in scorching temperatures.

The helmets, which weigh around 200 grams, can cool the wearer’s head by up to 15º C, significantly enhancing comfort during long duty hours.

Equipped with rechargeable batteries worn around the waist, they offer up to 8 hours of continuous cooling on a single charge, according to the startup.

Together, the helmet and battery weigh a combined 1.8kg.

They’re designed for temperatures above 40º C and are available on Amazon India for ₹20,800 (approximately $250).

Jarsh have also introduced other cooling safety helmets tailored to different industrial environments.

For moderately hot areas (25-40º C), the ProAir fan attachment, weighing 150 grams, provides consistent airflow to keep users comfortable.

In settings with normal temperatures, the ProHat offers standard protection with added breathability features.

These products aim to improve working conditions and increase productivity across various industries.

According to the company, adopting these solutions can significantly reduce heat-related fatigue and health issues among workers.
