Spanish company Red Shark Bikes have developed the Bike Surf, an innovative watercraft that combines cycling and stand up paddle boarding (SUP).
From Superinnovators 13/08/24
The Bike Surf lineup includes four models: Enjoy, Adventure, Fitness, and Scooter Surf, each with unique features and various propeller options.
The Enjoy model features a high-density polyethylene (PE-HD) frame, inflatable board and a manually driven 150-watt propeller, making it ideal for casual rides.
The Adventure model offers additional accessories and propellers ranging from 150 to 180 watts for more demanding excursions.
The Fitness model focuses on high-performance workouts with propeller options from 200 to 250 watts, sport hand grips, and a sport-mode saddle.
The Scooter Surf, the only model with electric power, incorporates a compact 450-watt marine motor for a hybrid paddleboard-scooter experience, this time without the cycling.
An integrated rechargeable battery offers a running time of up to 7 hours at slow speed and 1.15 hours at top speed, with 10 forward speeds settings and 3 reverse.
According to the company, all models are designed to offer a unique blend of exercise, exploration, and adventure on the water.
Many watersports destinations across the globe are incorporating Bike Surf into their programmes, for example, you can now Bike Surf on the Tirino River, Abruzzo, Italy, with the Majellando operator.
