Researchers from Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen have created collaborative robot snails to attach to each other and traverse obstacles through a dual-mode connection mechanism.

The bots have magnetic tracks for free mode and vacuum suckers for strong mode creating a balance between mobility and secure connections to help traverse any object.
