Dutch yacht builder Feadship have constructed the world’s first hydrogen fuel-cell superyacht, Project 821, with enough hydrogen to power a week’s worth of silent operation at anchor or navigating emission-free at 10 knots while leaving harbours.

The 119-metre vessel features a cryogenic fuel tank that holds 92 m2 (some 4 tonnes) of hydrogen feeding sixteen compact fuel cells, as well as biofuel generators to power longer voyages.
