Swedish company Candela have developed an electric hydrofoil passenger ship, P12, which is set to halve travel times between Stockholm’s island suburb of Ekerö and the city when it is deployed this year.
A pre-production version of the 30-passenger-vessel was tested late last year, taking off at 16 knots and reaching a top speed of 30 knots within 16 seconds.
