Live digital artist and motion graphics design company Foraus has developed a projection mapping system for keyboard that allows the musician to paint with music.

Every time a key is pressed different motion graphics emerge from the key and interact with the unfolding mesmerising artwork.

Foraus has also produced a version where the keys trigger movement in 3D creations projected onto the screen above and away from the keyboard.

Although the current experiments don’t appear to be triggering audio from the keys, it’s not hard to imagine this is where this is going.
