The Orion’s speed is adjustable up to 4 mph (6.4 kph) using a wireless joystick controller known as the LumiMote with a 120 m communication range.

It rolls on four rubberised wheels, with the two rear wheels powered by dual 500-W hub motors for increased power and stability.

The startup say the system uses AI to automatically adjust motor power, maintaining performance by responding to terrain changes and varying load conditions.

When the Orion detects a hill or obstacle, the motor increases its power output to keep a consistent, steady pace for the user.

Its 24,000 mAh battery allows for a range of 10 km (6.2 miles) and doubles as a USB powerbank for charging gadgets.

Designed for portability, the Orion folds down to compact dimensions of 12 x 10 x 32 inches, making storage and transport straightforward.

Available accessories include a telescopic lantern, side pockets, a cargo net, and a fold-out table for added convenience during usage.

The Orion has secured $243,937 in pledges on Kickstarter, significantly surpassing its initial goal of $9,004, with support from 534 backers and a starting price of $389.

According to the company, shipping for backers is estimated to begin in December, provided the funding and production schedules remain on track.
