Upon detecting a mosquito, Bzigo Iris notifies users through a smartphone app and pinpoints the location with an eye-safe laser.
According to the US startup, It focuses specifically on mosquitoes and is calibrated to minimize detection of other insects, ensuring accurate targeting.
The device provides continuous protection when plugged in, eliminating the need for batteries or frequent maintenance.
Each purchase includes a rechargeable electric swatter with a foldable rotating head and an extendable telescopic handle.
The company say Bzigo Iris offers a sustainable solution for mosquito control by preventing bites before they occur.
The product, first revealed as a concept in 2019, is priced at $339 (£263) and is currently available for shipping only within the US.
