The Vata7 X1 Smart LED Helmet, priced at $777, connects wirelessly to a motorcycle or snowmobile’s lighting, mirroring the tail, brake lights, and turn signals.
From Superinnovators 05/07/24
The X1 helmet aims to help riders looking to enhance their visibility and safety on the road.
Utilising the optional Vata7 mobile app, riders can customise LED sequences and visibility settings, including modes such as Brake Light Modes, Ghost Mode, and Stealth Mode.
The helmet has been tested and approved to US and European standards, ensuring high safety levels.
Constructed from 100% 3D carbon fibre using patented aeronautical technology, the X1 is lightweight.
The US-based company say the X1 is designed by top helmet engineers, has excellent ventilation and is notably quiet.
The helmet includes both Dark Smoke Max Vision Pro and Clear Max Vision Pro visors, treated with antifog technology and featuring a Pinlock 120XLT lens.
Premium speakers and a microphone are factory-installed, with the option to integrate Bluetooth communications.
The X1 also boasts a 5-year warranty on electronics and a 1-year standard warranty on the helmet itself.
The helmet’s brake light is vivid and can be customised via the app to be solid, flashing, or in burst mode.
The Vata7 mobile app also allows riders to select different lighting modes for normal riding, such as having all LEDs on, only the tail light on in Stealth Mode, or all LEDs off in Ghost Mode.
The helmet offers a battery life of 12 hours per charge and includes a 1″ x 1″ transmitter unit for easy installation without wire cutting.
Hand-built with over 30 pieces of carbon fibre, the X1’s build time ranges from 4 to 8 weeks.
The helmet is a similar fit to the popular Shoei helmets, and Vata7 offer a 30-day free size exchange programme.
