Automatic solar-powered car cover

Japanese serial inventors Y&Y STORE successfully crowdfunded the ‘Samson Auto’, an automatic car cover, through a campaign that concluded in September 2022.

The Samson Auto follows on from previous model Vinoya and features a solar panel for charging while in use, an integrated anti-theft alarm and a removable battery with capacity for 100 cycles of deployment and storage.

Crafted to protect vehicles from a variety of elements like sunlight, rain, and bird droppings, the cover is designed to be compact when stored.

Deliveries of the Samson Auto, priced at approximately 49,980 yen (around £332), commenced in December 2022, but the product is no longer available to order.
