Floatee, a French company, has introduced an innovative anti-drowning t-shirt for children, a first in the world, according to the startup.

The t-shirt, which can be worn throughout the day, transforms into a life jacket upon contact with water.

Aiming to reduce accidental drowning, the leading cause of accidents in children aged 18 months to 6 years, this t-shirt brings peace of mind to parents.

The t-shirt is not just a life-saving device, it’s also a daily wear garment.

It is comfortable, offers UV protection, and is ideal for children to wear around pools, lakes, and other water bodies without any hindrance to their play.

The integrated life jacket inflates automatically upon water contact, turning the child to a safe position with their airways above water in less than 3 seconds.

The design is patented and certified according to ISO 12402 standard for life jackets, making it the most effective product in the market.

Manufactured in Occitanie with French fabrics, the anti-drowning t-shirt is labelled “Made in France”.

It can be machine washed and reused multiple times. The life jacket component is one-size and can be used throughout a child’s growth.

Once the child outgrows the t-shirt, it can be returned to Floatee in exchange for a voucher, supporting second-hand use.

Priced at €149, the t-shirt is available in a bicolor design. Additional t-shirts and recharges for the life jacket are available for €59 and €29 respectively.

The company offers free delivery for orders above €100 in France, a highly responsive customer service, and secure payment options.

Floatee’s innovative anti-drowning t-shirt is a landmark in children’s safety and a testament to the potential of technology to save lives.
